Guidelines professional translations

Buroservice to guarantee the best professional translations, is always looking for people who:

:: write well in their own language;
:: have a good command of Italian;
:: are interested in financial and/or legal matters;
:: are quick on the uptake;
:: want to invest in improving their own skills.

If you already have a financial or legal background, so much the better. Otherwise, we can train you, above all in the financial and accounting terminology that we use on a day-to-day basis.

No one is expected to know everything and everyone is expected to have doubts. It is essential that translators express their doubts which can be resolved by the reviewer (or, in many cases, by the client), without glossing over them or pretending they donít exist. Having doubts about how a phrase should be interpreted is a sign of intelligence, not of incompetence.

All translations go through a stringent review process, but which is particularly rigorous in the case of new translators. Review notes are prepared explaining errors made by the translator and any terminology or style preferences on the part of the reviewer. The translator also gets sent the final version of the translation. It goes without saying that it is extremely important for the translator to read and inwardly digest these review notes and final version, because as a form of on-the-job training, they constitute the main source for ongoing improvement and hence a guarantee of quality.
